I waited patiently for the Lord; and he inclined to me, and heard my cry. He brought me up out of the pit of destruction, out of the miry clay, and set my feet upon a rock making my footsteps firm. He put a new song in my mouth, a song of praise to our God; many will see and fear, and will trust in the Lord. How blessed is the man who has made the Lord his trust! Psalm 40:1-4a

Spring Break Trip
We decided to take a little road trip this past week! The boys were on Spring Break and Russell took the week off. It was a much needed break from reality, and we were able to enjoy some of those precious family moments. Our boys are growing up too fast and that was never more apparent than this last week. Brenden will be a Junior in High School next year, and my "Baby" will be in Middle School!! What happened?? We drove to Kentucky and visited Mammoth Cave. Not the prettiest cave we have ever been in, but by far the biggest. We fearlessly crossed the Bottomless Pit and squeezed through Fat Man's Misery. Jerrod only hit his 6'2" head one time, which he was pleasantly surprised about. We drove to Nashville, TN and stayed at the Opryland Hotel...beautiful! It felt for a moment like we had entered some tropical island get-away. We toured the Opry House Museum. We ate at a really neat restaurant called "Aquarium". We visited The Hermitage, President Andrew Jackson's home. They have an audio tour included in the price of admission, which we would recommend for any of you history buffs. We spent some time at Dave and Buster's, basically a grown-up video arcade of sorts. Big TV's showing every sporting event. Bowling. Pool. The boys were mad because I didn't take the 100 ticket deal, and ended up winning 1 ticket on a "Deal Or No Deal" video game. I'll never live it down! We also visited the Bicentennial Capitol Mall in Nashville. It had some interesting monuments and historical displays. All in all, we had a nice trip!
