Memorial Day Church Picnic

Our church went to Prairie Creek Park and had a picnic today. We shared great food, games, fishing and fellowship. The weather was beautiful! What a blessing to have "family" here, when everyone else is so far away.

Spring Concerts

Darec and Rion both had their final concerts of the year this week. They did great. It is pretty amazing how much better they sound by the end of the year!

Take Me Out To The Ball Game

Fearless 365 went to an Indy Indians game last night. Russell and I went along and hauled an extra kid in our vehicle. It was a good game plus, it was fireworks night!

Baby Shower

We went to a baby shower for some dear friends of ours from church last weekend. We played silly games and had food and cake. It was a really good time!

County Track

Rion participated in two days of County Track and Field this week. He did a great job and bettered his times in his individual events.

Rocket Boy

Rion's technology class made rockets out of 2 Lt bottles.


Yesterday, they used water pressure to launch them off a pipe.


Rion's went 288 ft and landed directly on it's nose-cone!

North Track

Brenden ran in his last track meet Tuesday, North verses South. North's boys and girls both won! It was a rough meet for Brenden because he was battling a stuffy nose and couldn't breathe very well. LOL...he got congested because he is skinning and dissecting a cat in his AP Anatomy and Physiology class and he is very allergic to cats!

Blonde On Mother's Day

I pray all you moms had a terrific Mother's Day yesterday. Mine was awesome! I got some beautiful roses from my Secret Sister at church, along with a balloon and some books.

The best part was, Russell and the boys took me to Indy to dinner and the Broadway Musical, "Legally Blonde"! With all sincerity, I just love being a mom. It is the greatest joy and blessing of my life.

Junior Prom!

Brenden and his girlfriend of 2 1/2 years, Ashley, are at Junior Prom tonight. She is a lovely young woman and they looked so wonderful! Milestones like this make it hard to believe how fast our boys are growing up. :)

Newport Field Trip

Russell and Rion went on the big 6th grade field trip on Friday. They were gone all day to Newport, KY. It's a city basically right across the river from Cincinnati. They took a trip and ate lunch on a paddle wheel boat. Then, they went to the Newport Aquarium. They both said they had a lot of fun!

Shoulder Surgery

Jerrod had his surgery on Thursday. It went really well, faster than expected. He is recovering without any pain to speak of! Next week he will have his stitches removed and then in a few weeks after that, start therapy. Thanks for all your prayers!

Last Meets

Darec had his last meet on Tuesday. He threw his farthest shot put of the season! Great job, Darec!


Rion had his last meet of the regular season on Wednesday. He made it to County in all of his events. 1600, 800, 4X400 and long-jump!

Jerrod finally found a chair that makes him look small.
