Academic Banquet

Brenden and Jerrod were both invited to the 2011 Academic Banquet for North. You must have above a certain cumulative GPA to attend. The seniors stay on stage while some of their accomplishments are read, as well as their plans for college.

2 Mile

Rion got 2nd place, in the 2 mile, at OC's track meet this afternoon!

Choir Competition

Jerrod and Counterpoints took part in a choir competition over the weekend. They blew me away, they were so excellent!

What A Spectacle!

Shot-Put

Darec participated in his first Track and Field meet of the year yesterday. He threw the shot-put 32 feet. Much better than last year. Great job!

He's A Tar Heel!!

Brenden was just notified this week that he will be Salutatorian of his graduating class! He will end his four years with a 3.986 GPA, thanks to an A- in a band class freshman year...ppffft! Because of his dedication and hard work during high school, he has been accepted to some great colleges. But, he has officially decided to attend The University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill! He will be majoring in physics and intends to continue his education and obtain his Doctorate in Physics. We were able to take a drive to the campus over Spring Break. It felt like home right away. He is so excited, as are we, and very proud to be a part of such an amazing university. What a blessing! Go Heels!!

Palm Trees

The boys and I drove to South Carolina for Spring Break. We didn't have much of a vacation because we were looking for houses most of the time. I did get a picture of them with some palm trees, which they thought were better than all the corn fields they usually see in Indiana.

Noodles

Darec created a pasta car for his science class. It had to be made completely of pasta and glue. It turned out really cool and got 2nd place in Best Design!
