Ouch!

Jerrod was playing basketball and landed wrong on his ankle. Our family doctor is sending him to an orthopedist tomorrow. He doesn't think it is broken, but he wants to make sure.

Cook-Out

We had our first cook-out of the year on Saturday. Yum!

Smile!

Jerrod got his braces off this morning!

Sports Awards Night

Last night was awards night for the winter sports at North. Brenden and Jerrod both received various honors for their wrestling season. Brenden lettered again, so I have another chevron to put on his jacket. He got the Iron Man award for the second year in a row. He also received a medal for getting a pin in less than 60 sec. They were both honored for having GPA's over 3.0. They had a good time wrestling this year!

Cinderella

The boys and I went to see North's production of "Cinderella" on Friday night. There were a few difficulties with the lighting, but they put on a fine production. It was so sweet to see all the little girls there, dressed in Cinderella costumes, watching in awe.

Home With Jesus

Dave was truly more than just a friend, he was family. Our hearts are grieving, but there is great hope in knowing he is with Jesus, and we will get to see him again someday!

Acquire The Fire!

Jerrod, Darec and Rion went with Fearless 365 to the "Acquire The Fire" youth conference on Friday and Saturday. There were 6,000 teens who attended and over the course of two days, they spent 27 hours in fellowship with the Lord. They saw amazing speakers, had powerful worship and got to see 6 different Christian bands like The David Crowder Band and Everyday Sunday. It was tough to be away from them, but their hearts are so full of God's presence, we know He is going to use them mightily for His glory. There is no greater joy for a parent! What a blessing this youth group has been for our sons.

This is the t-shirt our group wore to the conference.

Home Show

Russell, Brenden and I went to the Home Show this last weekend. It was our first time ever going.

There were mostly construction related booths, but downstairs Terre Haute North High School had some stuff from their Technology Department. So, we were looking at everything, and we came across a display from the Engineering Design class that North offers. The strange thing was, it was a display of Brenden's work from last year, when he had taken the class!

He had no idea that they had chosen to use it. It really surprised him. It was one of those proud parent moments!

Roller Skating

We had a "Skate Night" with our church family last night. We had the rink all to ourselves and they played Christian music. Brenden got some BIG blisters on his foot, but everyone still had fun.

Bathroom Buddies

Since my mom was here to help me, I decided to re-do the boy's bathroom. I was able to pick up a bunch of decor on clearance. We had to strip off the old wallpaper and put up new. We were quite a sight to see, trying to balance on chairs, the toilet, the tub and the counter top! Ha, good times! Anyway, it turned out well. I still need to get something for the walls, but everyone seems to like it.

Science And Engineering Fair

Brenden participated in the 57th Annual West Central Indiana Science and Engineering Fair on Saturday. It was held at DePauw University. He got 2nd in the Engineering Catagory!

Granny!

My mom has been visiting us for the past week. It has been wonderful to have her here and we will miss her greatly when she leaves tomorrow. :(
